Camden Beach at the Roundhouse

Camden Beach at the Roundhouse

If you can't get to the beach, then the beach will come to you. That's what someone must have thought when they created Camden Beach at the Roundhouse.

Camden Beach at the Roundhouse

Camden Beach is a proper beach located behind the popular performing arts venue, which measures 900 square metres and 150 tonnes of actual sand that, just like at a real beach, gets into everything. There are deck chairs, umbrellas and palm trees and even annoying kids that run across your stuff.

Along the side there are beach huts for hire and tiki bars that sell summery cocktails which come at 2 for 1 on weeknights and all night Mondays. No need to go hungry either as there's an ice-cream van, a pop up fish restaurant called Fishy Business, barbecues, etc.

To keep beach-goers entertained, there are pingpong tables, badminton and boules games available. Things don't wind down when the sun goes down when DJs get things going with some beachy tunes.

With the fabulous weather we've been having this summer, who needs a Mediterranean beach anyways? London really does have it all.

  1. I had no idea they did this in London! I'd heard about it on the Seine in Paris, but in Camden......wow. I'll have to try and get down to see it!

I'd love to have a go! Mind you I've had enough of sand after a week in Florida but it just seems like a lot of fun!
I hope you have a great week!
