Italian Food at Antipasto & Pasta

I'm trying to eat my way around the world without leaving London and this week It's Italy's turn.
You don't really have to look all that hard in order to find a plate of pasta here, but it did make me a bit indecisive. I went for my local Italian restaurant called L'Antipasto on Battersea Park Road.

It's a small but friendly place, however the acoustics are a bit rubbish so when it's full, it's loud. Especially in summer when they open the windows and the Battersea Park Road traffic seems to drive right by your table.

But I love it. Especially because they slash their prices in half on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. I usually go when I have guests staying over as it is super easy to roll home after over-eating on half priced pasta.

I know it's very hard to make a rubbish pasta dish, but I have never had a bad meal at L'Antipasto. The last time I went I took my mom and we had the melon and ham for starters and a lovely half bottle of the house white. My mom had her usual spinach caneloni and I had the penne con polpete, But the chicken with lemon and the spaghetti alla cecco hit the spot quite well on previous visits to this place.

The desserts are not part of the half price offer, but their full prices don't break the bank either. Although we were so stuffed that we didn't order anything.

I really love coming here and as loud as it sometimes can be, it just makes the atmosphere feel all the more Italian.
