Barber and Parlour in Shoreditch

I'm all for practicality, which is exactly what the Soho House people must have thought when they came up with the concept for Barber and Parlour. This new-ish all day hang-out on Redchurch street in Shoreditch is a barber/beauty salon/cinema/bar/restaurant.

Technically you can kick-start your day here with a hearty breakfast, followed by a mani/pedi sesh. Or a shave if you're a dude. Have lunch and a do a spot of shopping in the pm and finish your day with dinner and a movie and perhaps a cocktail or two. All in one building.

The food menu at Barber and Parlour features healthy breakfast, brunch and all day options and not so healthy ones as well. There is an interesting cocktail menu and they also offer locally brewed beers. The barber salon is operated by Neville Barber, offering men's grooming the old-fashioned way and the ladies can get their pampering at the Cheeky Salon on the first floor.

The basement is home to the Electric Cinema, offering arm chair viewing of the latest blockbuster movies at quite decent prices. We only stayed for a beer, but I can't wait to go back for a Cheeky nail and cocktail session.

  4. This looks amazing, I live near Manchester and we tend to follow London trends about 3 years later so I'll look out for similar coming up here in 2018!
