Eat Play Love was an idea by Jeanette Wickham who wanted to create a family cafe for parents and children where they could have room to play, time to think, eat and drink. Basically a place to feel at home for everyone in the local community.
Eat Play Love is indeed a very family friendly place. Children are running around and parents are drinking their coffee. There is a special parking area for strollers, a play area for kids and a library area for the grown-ups. The decor is retro and homey with colourful drawings on the wall and comfy couches strewn around the place. The food is comforting too. There's a wide choice of home made cakes, muffins and pies to go with your coffee and there's a menu with yummie breakfast and lunch dishes.
Eat Play Love is more than that though. Kids and mummies can follow all kinds of classes ranging from baby ballet and monkey music to pilates for mummies and pregnancy yoga. Eat Play Love is available for birthday parties or other events and even have their own party planner to help you organise it the way you want.
Eat Play Love has unfortunately closed its door this year. But it looks like a shiny new bike/ coffee shop has opened on the same premises. I have yet to check that one out.
