The Milestone Hotel is posh in that classic, reserved English way and so was the private room that was reserved for us. I felt a bit disappointed that the tables weren't decorated with pink ribbons and red roses like at the Royal Horseguards Hotel where we had our previous London Bloggers Tea.
I sat at one of three tables with nine other bloggers where we were served a glass of champagne. We had a choice of only two teas, English breakfast and Early Grey. On the contrary, the choice of food was so abundant that it almost didn't fit on our table. There were two plates of the usual finger sandwiches, two plates of scones and two plates with a variety of small pastries such as macaroons, pistachio cake and a fruit tart. It all tasted nice, but if I'm honest it was nothing mind blowing.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree, it was just ok. But the company was great!

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't bad, but nothing special.
DeleteGreat to read this and hear that although the tea wasn't up to the mark, nice to know that you all still had a nice time - I'm coming to the next one so I'm hoping to meet some of you then and hoping the tea will be delicious as well fingers crossed :)
ReplyDeleteAh shame. I have to miss this one. But for a good reason. Going to Spain! :-) Have fun and see you at the next one.
